Hanno Basse is the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Stability AI, a leading generative AI company developing cutting-edge models and applications across image, video, 3D, and audio. With over 30 years of experience, Hanno has driven technological innovation across media, entertainment, and technology industries.
Prior to joining Stability AI, Hanno served as CTO at Digital Domain, where he led technical infrastructure, research and development, and machine-learning initiatives. Before that, he served as CTO of Microsoft Azure Media and Entertainment, where he led the deployment of cloud, edge, and AI technologies. He previously held the role of CTO at 20th Century Fox Film Corp., driving advancements in production and distribution systems.
Hanno is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, a Fellow of the
Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers, and holds 30 patents, underscoring his
contributions to innovation in the industry.
